This privacy notice explains how personal data is processed when you visit this website or contact Wolfgang Ihloff by email. The website is a static brochure site. It does not provide user accounts, contact forms, online ordering, or advertising trackers.

Website hosting and server logs

When you access this website, technical data may be processed to deliver the site securely and reliably. This can include IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, response status, referrer, and user-agent information.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in secure and stable website operation, abuse prevention, and technical troubleshooting.

Hosting currently runs on Hetzner Cloud infrastructure in Germany. Log data is kept only as long as necessary for operational and security purposes and is then deleted or rotated.

Website assets are served from the same origin only. The site does not load Google Fonts, remote JavaScript libraries, third-party CSS, external image CDNs, or similar remote frontend assets.

Email enquiries

If you contact Wolfgang Ihloff by email, the data you provide will be processed to answer your enquiry, prepare a possible project, or manage an existing business relationship. This typically includes your name, email address, message content, and related metadata.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary for pre-contractual steps or contract performance, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general business communication.

Enquiry data is retained for as long as needed to process the matter and, where relevant, for the duration of statutory retention obligations or limitation periods.

This website does not use analytics cookies, advertising technologies, social media plugins, or third-party embeds. No local storage is used to persist language preferences. The root URL may redirect once based on the browser's preferred language, but that selection is not stored on your device.

Personal data may be processed by service providers acting on behalf of Wolfgang Ihloff where necessary to operate this website or handle communication. This currently includes Hetzner Cloud for website hosting and Google Workspace for the ihloff.de email mailbox.

International transfers

Website hosting is intended to remain within the EU/EEA. Email communication is handled through Google Workspace and can involve cross-border processing or routing depending on the providers used by the sender or recipient. Where a transfer to a third country is required, it should rely on an applicable GDPR transfer mechanism.
